Director of Business and Industry

The Business and Industry Development Department is to implement and support a variety of comprehensive and strategic programs to promote the economic well being of The City of Attalla.

The Department will work toward implementing a master plan to attain the community’s future vision, creating an attractive physical community appearance and promoting a healthy economy, all of which will enhance the quality of life in Attalla.

The plan will be to position the City to grow with a multifaceted approach to improve the local economy and to recruit and retain businesses to ensure a dynamic diversified employment base.

This plan will include:

Business recruitment, development and retention

Diversersification of retail and restaruant offerings

Growing and sustaining properties values

Job creation and workforce development

Increasing the City’s tax base

Pro-active outreach to investors and developers

Tourist attractions
