The park is located in Wills Valley and is associated with some of the earliest historical events in northern Alabama. The Creek itself was named after Chief Big Will, a red-headed Indian chief, the son of a British agent to the Indians and a Cherokee squaw, left this creek his name forever.

Today families and Friends enjoy coming to the creek for tubing, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking and relaxing in the outdoors.

The campground offers full hook-up for 30 /50 amp and 110 on all camper sites, rustic primitive camping, primitive camping, tent camping with power, Day passes available.

Amenities include flush toilets, showers, drinking water, and laundry facilities, Also within the park is a playground, seasonal creek tubing, lake kayaking and paddle boat.
